Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth will be hosting a number of online focused discussions with parents from 23 November 2020 on the development of a new Funding Model for early learning and care and school-age Childcare. The duration of these discussions will take 60 minutes and will be inclusive and informal.
These discussions are part of a broader national conversation with a range of key stakeholders on how we fund early learning and care and school-age childcare services and how additional funding can be used to improve quality for children, address issues of accessibility and affordability for parents and sustainability for service providers. Already providers, practitioners and representative organisations have been having their say.
Your (parents) input into this project is very important at this stage, as we
identify where we can direct our efforts in order to build a quality early learning and care and schoolage childcare system that meets the needs of children and families.
We want to hear more about the things that are most important to you as parents of children under 15 years old. No prior knowledge of early learning and care or school-age childcare is needed.
Parents sessions will run on the following dates and times:
• 23 November: 20.30 – 21.30
• 24 November: 13.00 – 14.00
• 24 November: 20.30 – 21.30
