You may have already heard the exciting news about a new documentary about to air.

Shaping the Future will air on Virgin Media at 12pm on Saturday, 29 August – showcasing pre-school education in Ireland.

The documentary celebrates the incredible milestone of more than one million children funded through the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme to date – a programme the Department is enormously proud of given its positive impact on the lives and wellbeing of young children and their families.

This documentary highlights the professionalism and commitment of early years educators and providers and the vital role they play every day in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing and in supporting families and communities.
